The Fox

We were very pleasantly greeted by the manager who showed us to the room himself after asking us if we'd like fresh milk for tea/coffee making. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. There was a nicely-scented reed diffuser and complimentary mini-brownies, still water and bottle of local ale were provided - all thoughtful touches we appreciated. Parking was handily accessible from the back of the pub which made it easy to load/unload luggage to the room.

Beautiful pub with beautifully decorated bedrooms. Phenomenally good Sunday roasts. Lovely pub atmosphere with friendly staff.

We were warmly welcomed. Lots of advice on the local area was given to make our over night stay enjoyable. The staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was added to booking on check in, which was lovely. We came to stay the night after travelling from Bristol. We were one of those people that came to Chippy to visit Diddly Squat Farm Shop and The Farmers Dog. We didn't want to travel to and from Bristol the same day. The Fox was nicely located for us. And possibly the only room left available. We weren't disappointed. We had spent the evening drinking in The Kings Arms just around the corner, where we played Darts with a local Lad who was so lovely. Pizza From Marco's after a few drinks and the evening was done. I will remember our trip fondly.

Fantastic Hotel 6 stars!! The best hotel I have stayed at in the uk. Hotel room was five star, food was fantastic, drinks were superb. The service from the hotel was superb and the food was fantastic we had one dinner and two breakfasts and a lovely stay. When the room was booked there was an issue with the rate and the man who sorted the whole thing out was Arnold so huge thanks to him and all the team at the hotel for a fantastic stay. We will be back a family member lives in the local area so it was the perfect location. Thanks again for a personable stay and for going the extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a lovely few days we will be back.

A perfect stay for our first anniversary! We booked The Fox mainly for its convenient location but honestly would 100% return again because of the amazing staff, setting and food! Our room was lovely and has everything you need for a short break, even a lovely bottle of the local Hook Norton brewery beer in the room and a tasty brownie bite! The decor is a classics up market pub style and feels very welcoming but modern. The staff are all super friendly and couldn’t do more for you, a big shout out to Ben for fixing the issue the booking website (not the pub!) caused prior to booking. The breakfast that was included was so good but be prepared to be full because you want to eat it all is so good, we also had dinner at the pub and that was also amazing! The location is great for the Hook Norton brewery and surrounding areas, will certainly be back again. Pictures are of the dinner we had!
